The secret to Charlottes exquisite home..
What
made you buy this particular home?
It was in an area I love, close to family and friends,
and I loved the character of the property as it was built in the 1870’s. I
couldn’t see myself living in a new build, they just don’t feel homely to me.
What
was your inspiration when re-decorating?
A mish mash of country, industrial and Scandinavia. I
hate colour, so painting the whole house white was a must! Textures and varying
shades of grey add warmth and stop the white from looking too clinical.
Is
there anything you would have done differently?
I would have liked to have made more of my own
furniture, but at the time we just wanted to get in so ended up rushing into
some furnishing purchases.
Have
you ever thought of becoming an interior designer?
I would love to, my passion is in design, particularly
furniture and interiors.
What
are your plans for the future in the design business?
I hope to set up my own company selling hand made
furniture designed and made by myself.
love,
